WELCOME TO RED BANK SOCCER CLUB

We are a non-profit soccer club operated by a board of volunteers within Clovis Junior Soccer League (CJSL) under California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) guidelines.

~COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS~

What does "first come, first served" mean?

Teams are formed on a "first come, first served basis." This means that teams are formed based on coach availability and space availability. Team roster sizes are set by CJSL and CYSA. Once a roster is full, another team is created, provided there is a coach available and a minimum number of players. If there are not enough players, the last player(s) who registered may be given the option of playing for another nearby soccer club or withdrawing their registration.

RBSC makes every effort to provide all RBSC registrants with the opportunity to play for RBSC, but this is not always possible. RBSC regularly begins the registration process for the subsequent season at the Red Bank Carnival each year. This is referred to as "early registration."

WHAT ARE THE ROSTER SIZES?

ROSTER SIZES:

AGE GROUP MINIMUM/MAXIMUM # OF PLAYERS
 UNDER 6 MIN 8 / MAX 10
 UNDER 8 MIN 7 / MAX 11
 UNDER 10 MIN 8 / MAX 13
 UNDER 12 MIN 11 / MAX 15

What are the age limits?

Under 12 - Player has not reached 12th birthday before August 1st of the seasonal year. CJSL has a Teen Program for players are older than this age group.

Under 10 - Player has not reached 10th birthday before August 1st of the seasonal year.

Under 8 -  Player has not reached 8th birthday before August 1st of the seasonal year.

Under 6 - Player has not reached 6th birthday before August 1st of the seasonal year. A player must be 4 years old prior to Aug 1 of the seasonal year to be eligible for the Under 6 age group.

We registered. Now what?

Once your player is registered and placed on a team, the team's coach (or a representative of the coach) will contact that team's players/parents to advise of the date and time of practices (typically sometime in August). Practices are generally in the evenings, 2-3 weekdays depending on the availability of the team's coach.

Who are your coaches?

Our coaches are parents (grandparents, aunts, uncles) who volunteer their time. They have committed to teaching players the game of soccer in a positive and constructive manner.

All coaches are required to have completed a coaching license course through CYSA (free for CJSL coaches).

If you are interested in coaching, please contact us.

When and where are games played?

Games are played on Saturdays are various elementary schools within CJSL boundaries and may or may not take place at Red Bank. All game locations and schedules are determined by CJSL.

U10 and U12 teams participate in a "seeding" tournament prior to the start of the season to assist CJSL in determining the appropriate division of play. Teams are tiered (by skill level) within CJSL, so when there are multiple teams of the same age group within a club, efforts are made to form teams with players of similar skill levels.
